Book of Life
About the Sculpture
The sculpture “The Book of Life” is an imposing 260 cm high installation that embodies the idea that our thoughts and energies shape reality and that every thought and energy flows into the collective consciousness. It represents human experience and memory in the form of an open book. A stylized head is placed in the center of the book, symbolically representing the strands of thought. These strands of thought flow into the book and connect with the infinite synapses that radiate out in all directions. This representation gives the impression that our thoughts and memories form and fill the book of life.
The sculpture features intricate lighting programming that depicts life in all its diversity in an endless mirror effect. This lighting underscores the notion that every thought and energy emitted by humans influences the collective consciousness and helps shape the world around us.
The writing on the cover of the book and the back is elegantly illuminated, giving the sculpture a special dignity. “The Book of Life” reminds us how precious and unique is the life of each individual and how the thoughts, energies and memories of a person shape reality and influence the collective consciousness. It is an impressive representation of human existence and its ability to help shape the world.
